October 1-7th, 2016 – IPI-Kenya recently hosted the first Global Youth Peace Summit in Africa, run by the Amala Foundation of Austin, USA in partnership with International Peace Initiatives (IPI), Meru, Kenya at IPI’s Eco Center, Tiriji. The Kenya Global Youth Peace Summit (https://www.facebook.com/groups/kenyagyps/) was a great success!

October 17-19th, 2016 – Dr. Karambu Ringera presented a workshop at the Africa Peace Summit, with the theme: ‘Nurturing a culture of peace within the youth’ at Kenyatta University. She presented a model sustainable peacebuilding approach she has developed working with youth and women on peace for over ten years. The overall goal of the summit was to provide a forum for youth of Africa to connect, learn, and discover practical tips for co-creating a culture of peace and conflict transformation in Africa.

November 29-December 3rd, 2016 – Mind Transform Africa will partner with IPI to host the Kenya Youth Peace Summit at IPI’s Tiriji Eco Center. The focus of the summit is to build leadership skills for young Kenyans interested in ethical leadership. IPI will further be partnering with Rolf and Owsa Beckman, founders of Eight Directions AB, Sweden and Lottie Moore, founder of Mindset Metaphors, UK to run a leadership program in April 2017.
